Interview with Sara

1. What inspired you to pursue your career?

I wanted to do something that I love and I enjoy . To influence and to be influenced by other inspiring ladies and moms here in UAE.To find myself in something that I like to do .At first I started my Instagram page when i first came to Dubai , I almost didn't know anyone here.  I was a new expat mom with a 7 months old baby in totally new country. I felt a bit lonely and depressed at first. But then i decided that I need to start moving and do something for me and my family so we can feel connected and enjoy the life in this beautiful country.Social media helped me to know more about my community here, to know about all the wonderful places, venues and events we have here. To know where to eat, shop, have fun with my family and also get in touch with other expats mums here. This is how I started my Instagram page. And then I found that other moms who were here in Dubai since like 5 or 7 years are starting to ask me where to go with their kids where to shop.... And here I discovered that what I do really might be also helpful not only for me but also others.

2. What do you most enjoy about your profession?

Getting to know like minded moms/women , sharing with each other our thoughts, concerns and even happy moments through our social media channel.  Getting to experience with my family new places and venues and share about it with other families.

3. What motivates you?

When I hear that what I share on my page helped other mommies/ women , whether it was about a brand/product recommendation that maybe that mom didn't know about and helped her somehow with her kids or even about a new play area or a family attraction that would help a family spending a lovely quality time with each other...

4. What advice do you have for women who are in pursuit of their dreams?

Always follow your passion and only do what you love to do. The moment you stop enjoying what you are doing , it means you are in the wrong path, do some changes and think again why you are doing this. The key of success is in you, and only you will be able to decide what is best for you. Don't be affraid to say no for something you feel it will not give you justice. Be kind but stay smart.

5. What life lessons have you learnt from Covid-19 that you would like to share with other aspiring women?

Life is full of surprises and nothing last. Be smart and brave about your decisions. The only thing really matters is the good health and safety of your family and yourself.  So take a good care of both!

6. If you had a choice to have a superpower, what would it be?

Interesting! I would choose the Healing power!
