1. What inspired you to pursue your career?

 

I can't quite remember what inspired me but I have always loved and fancy the idea of being able to change and magnify a person's appearance. My favourite part is when they get to look in the mirror and love themselves like they have never before and that alone satisfies me a lot.

2. What do you most enjoy about your profession?

 

Getting to know and meet new people every time and also packaging orders for my customers.

 

3. What difficulties have you endured to get to where you are today?

 

I wouldn't say difficulties because I believe it's all part of the process and I expect it to happen. For my career as a professional makeup artist - meeting different personalities! Some get to be the most amazing people and of course some people are naturally difficult.

 

For my career - as the CEO of my growing cosmetics business, it was definitely not as easy as I thought it was. Getting everything perfect and organised a lot. My delayed supply chain gave me a lot of anxiety because I had to meet up with the launch date and honestly a lot more than I can ever put on this mail.

 

4. What makes you smile and what scares you the most?

 

Family makes me smile and losing family scares me the most.

 

5. What advice do you have for women who are in pursuit of their dreams?

 

Do not give up, perseverance is key. Opportunity and luck comes only to people who are ready to receive it.

 

6. What life lessons have you learnt from Covid-19 that you would like to share with other aspiring women?

 

Always have a back up plan, a backup career, a backup stream of income. This is because those who got let go at their jobs because of Covid were stuck and stranded.

 

7. What are your goals for the upcoming year?

 

My small cosmetics business grows even larger and one day a very known and huge brand in the UAE. I get to purchase my first car after turning 19. I get to top my class this year because last year I was close!

        

8. If you had a choice to have a superpower, what would it be?

 

Teleportation because i love travelling and exploring the world.
